You’ll cruise tranquil canals, cycle through windmill-dotted countryside, explore world-class museums, and learn all there is to know about Dutch culture. Who knows? Discover Amsterdam through local eyes – history, food, and hidden corners come alive.

Day 1 – Meet in the Capital of Belgium.

Meet at 6 PM at the Brussels hotel for a welcome dinner.

Meet your Trip Leader and the rest of the group and enjoy the first night out of the trip. Indulge in local cuisine and try either moules & frites or Flemish stew with… frites, of course! Try a local beer while you’re at it, and visit the Grand Place by night if you feel like it.

Day 2 – The EU’s Center and Brussels Lambic.

European Parliament & Cantillon Brewery – Free Night.

Start the day early by catching a glimpse of Europe’s political center and bring a visit to the European Parliament. The afternoon is spent in Brussels’ last traditional lambic brewery, a local beer only produced around Brussels. The Cantillon Brewery’s legendary status is shown to you through a tour and, naturally, a tasting. Enjoy the craft of Brussels’ last family own brewery, Cheers! Spend the rest of the day as you please in Brussels.

Day 3 – Medieval Bruges

Drive to Bruges: Market Square, Belfort Tower, Groeningemuseum & Boat Ride – Dinner at a Local Brewery.

Travel by private vehicle en route to Bruges. After a luggage drop, head off to explore Bruges, the gem of Flanders. Visit the Market Square, take a boat ride, and visit the famous Groeningemuseum. Enjoy dinner at Brewery Halve Maen, the only brewery in the world with an underground beer pipeline. We’ll keep it a secret for now what it’s used for.

Day 4 – To Antwerp via Mechelen.

Visit to Mechelen & Chocolate Workshop in Antwerp.

Pick-up by private vehicle, we bring a visit to the famous Mechelen Cathedral, where you can climb the tower for sweeping views of the city. Enjoy lunch in the historic market square before heading to the gem of Flanders, Antwerp, for an afternoon chocolate workshop. Conclude the day with a dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5 – Antwerp: The City with Many Nicknames.

Tour of Antwerp, Free Afternoon & Evening.

Begin the day with a guided tour of Antwerp—the city of many nicknames. The afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy at leisure. Your Trip Leader will share insider tips to help you make the most of your time. Explore Antwerp’s highlights, from its magnificent cathedral and renowned chocolate shops to its reputation as the fashion capital of the Benelux. You may also choose to follow in the footsteps of Rubens, Belgium’s most celebrated painter, or discover why Antwerp is known as the diamond-cutting capital of the world.

Day 6 – Picturesque Zierikzee to Rotterdam.

Zierikzee Seal Safari & the Markthal Rotterdam.

Get picked up from your hotel and travel to one of the Netherlands’ most charming towns, Zierikzee. Savor a leisurely lunch before embarking on a boat safari to spot local wildlife, including seals and the world’s smallest dolphin species, the harbor porpoise. Continue on to Rotterdam—a modern, bold, and industrial city often called the “New York on the Meuse.”

Day 7 – Rotterdam & Delft

Rotterdam Harbor Tour & Public Train to Delft, Visit the Royal Delft Museum.

Start your day with a scenic boat ride through Europe’s largest harbor (1 hour), where you’ll witness Rotterdam’s modern skyline and bustling port life from the water. Next, catch a quick 20-minute train to Delft, the charming hometown of Vermeer, and explore its picturesque canals, historic squares, and the Royal Delft Museum. In the evening, return to Rotterdam to enjoy the city at your own pace while discovering its vibrant culinary scene and unique local flavors.

Day 8 – The Hague & Noordwijk aan Zee.

Visit to The Hague: The Mauritshuis & Dutch Parliament, Noordwijk Atlantikwall Museum.

Explore the political center of the Netherlands with a trip to The Hague, where you’ll find the Parliament and the famous Mauritshuis museum. Then head to Noordwijk, your Trip Leader’s hometown, where you can visit the Atlantikwall Museum and take a leisurely walk along the beach. The Dutch coastline is one of the country’s best-kept secrets. Enjoy your evening at your own pace—perhaps savoring a casual dinner with a view of the North Sea.

Day 9 – The Big Flower Day.

The Keukenhof, Amsterdam Tulip Experience, Flower Fields – Hometown Dinner.

It’s Flower Day! Immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and fragrances of the Dutch flower fields while discovering the flourishing bulb industry behind daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips. Start your journey at the renowned Keukenhof Gardens and the Amsterdam Tulip Experience. Next, take a private tour through the lesser-known backroads of the flower fields with your local guide—me. Wrap up the day with a delightful dinner in Noordwijk.

Day 10 – Amazing Amsterdam

Introduction Walk in Amsterdam, Private Cruise & Anne Frank House.

Take part in a guided stroll through Amsterdam with a local expert, where you’ll hear personal anecdotes, discover intriguing history, and learn about the city’s unwritten customs. Afterward, admire the charm of Amsterdam from the water during a picturesque canal cruise. In the evening, explore the Anne Frank House at your leisure before enjoying some free time to do as you please.

Day 11 – Amsterdam with a Local Historian

Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam By Mouth Food Tour, Heineken Experience + Rooftop Views, Indonesian Cooking Class & Goodbye Dinner.

Start your day at the Van Gogh Museum, immersing yourself in the vibrant and emotional realm of one of the Netherlands’ most renowned artists. Explore local Dutch cuisine with an Amsterdam By Mouth food tour, where you’ll taste local specialties and explore the city’s lively culinary landscape. In the afternoon, delve into Dutch brewing traditions at the Heineken Experience, where history, creativity, and a perfectly crafted beer unite. To conclude your day — and your journey — participate in an Indonesian cooking class. With guidance from a local chef, you’ll prepare and savor a delightful meal that highlights the strong connections between Indonesia and the Netherlands. Art, cuisine, culture, beverages, and more delicious food — a fitting finale to your Benelux adventure!

All accommodations used by Dutch Cultural Journeys are carefully selected for their comfort, location, and local charm. While we make every effort to confirm the hotels listed in your itinerary, circumstances beyond our control may occasionally require us to substitute accommodations of a similar or higher standard.

Rooming arrangements are based on the room type requested at the time of booking (for example, twin, double, or single). Specific room requests (such as bed type, adjoining rooms, views, or accessibility features) will be communicated to the hotels but cannot be guaranteed.

In some historic or boutique properties, room sizes, layouts, and amenities may vary even within the same category. Any hotel taxes, resort fees, or incidental charges (such as minibar, laundry, or room service) are the responsibility of the guest unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation.

We aim to secure the most centrally situated hotels in each city, taking into account the level of comfort you desire.

Cancellation policy

Dutch Cultural Journeys understands that travel plans may change. All cancellations must be submitted in writing (by email) and are subject to the following terms unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation.

Cancellation fees are calculated based on the time of notice before the start of the tour:

  • More than 60 days prior: Full refund minus any non-refundable deposits or supplier costs (such as prepaid hotels or entrance tickets).
  • 30–59 days prior: 50% refund of the total tour price.
  • Less than 30 days prior: No refund can be guaranteed.

Unused portions of a tour, including missed meals, accommodations, or activities, are non-refundable. Refunds can only be issued to the original form of payment.

If Dutch Cultural Journeys must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., safety concerns, extreme weather, or supplier closures), travelers will be offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule for a future date.
